About

Hi, I'm Nina.

I'm a voiceover artist, author, and editor — three roles that all come down to the same thing: helping stories find their voice.

Whether I'm narrating a character to life, writing about history and resilience, or helping another writer sharpen their manuscript, I bring the same warmth and attention to every project.

Author

My book Flour Sack Girl is a story rooted in history, resilience, and the quiet power of family. Inspired by my grandmother Veleta and the real history of Depression-era flour sack dressmaking, it’s a story I’ve carried with me for a long time.

A bit more about me

I’m a mom to two awesome kids, and that shapes everything about how I approach stories. Growing up, I was captivated by my grandmother Veleta’s tales of life on the farm during the Great Depression — her resourcefulness, her warmth, her quiet determination. Those stories became the seed for Flour Sack Girl, and they remind me every day why the stories we pass down to each other matter so much.

I’ve also worked as an Environmental Educator, which might sound like a departure from voiceover and picture books — but it isn’t, really. In every role, I’m trying to help people pay attention to something important. Stories connect us and show us possibilities. I know it’s a privilege to live a life built around words, and I want to make sure I’m creating space for other storytellers along the way.
